The purpose of the Council is to promote communication between chapters, to disseminate information; to exchange ideas; to participate in workshops, seminars, and other joint activities.

  • 6:30 p.m. - Welcome - Krina Snider, Chair  - Invocation & Pledge Allegiance to
                      the Flag 
     

  • 6:35 p.m. - Dinner & Table Topics Discussion - Chapter Event Announcements

  • 7:00 p.m. - Program - "Benefits of Greater KC Chamber of Commerce" by Bonnie
                      M. Smith
    - Investor Relations Manager at the Greater Kansas City
                      Chamber of Commerce - Learn the benefits of membership for non-
                      profit organizations. Many ABWA chapters/networks and councils are
                     members of their community's Chamber of Commerce. As members of
                     the chamber, we would have the opportunities to "Get Smarter, More
                    Visible, Better Connected". The chamber holds 13-20 events a month
                    around the metro.

  • 7:15 p.m. Program - "Engagement & Retention" by Nate Hancock, Leadership
                    Development Consultant for major area corporations such as RSA,
                    Black & Veatch and Sprint. He comes to us through the Professional
                    Edge Series at KU Edwards. Learn how to keep employees actively
                    engaged in your business and how to keep ABWA members coming
                    back to ABWA chapter/network and council events. What motivates
                    people to engage and stay active? Nate has a wealth of ideas to share.
